Since having the office refurbished last month we have been really excited to have some visitors over to M&H HQ, and finally get to meet some of our favourite insta-dogs! Last week we had a visit from the gorgeous Alfie Bear and his lovely owner Emma, and it was so great to get to know them better! Alfie seemed to love his new toys and really took to our new season pillow beds - read on to hear the visit from Emma & Alfie's point of view!
Alfie is a true country gent, I always try to find stylish traditional pieces to suit... Of course, it just has to be Mutts & Hounds. Alfie is a working dog, and we live out in the countryside so it is essential that the products I use for Alfie are not just gorgeous, but durable. They need to be able to cope with a spaniel! As let face it over their life they will see mud and maybe have a little dip in the lake... Hence our love for Mutts & Hounds.
Earlier this week we were invited to visit the Mutts & Hounds headquarters to view their new Autumn Collection. Hidden away on a gorgeous farm in the Wiltshire countryside, their HQ was everything I imagined. I was like a kid in a sweet shop! It was lovely to meet the girls behind the brand. We were welcomed with tea and cake, Alfie quickly raided his goodies... Safe to say their wool toys were a big hit. He spent the next half hour parading his carrot around the office proudly showing everyone - It was definitely a case of you can look but not touch!
When it comes to canine style, Autumn is my favourite. For us humans it's the perfect time to get the tweed coats back out ready for those chilly morning walks. The same can be said for the pooches. As the cooler months draw in I slowly start introducing the darker tweeds, and the waxed jacket into Alfie's Wardrobe.
This year's Autumn collection did not disappoint. The gorgeous grey tweed is back, and dare I say even better? They have combined it with hints of rich caramel leather. Something new to Mutts & Hounds are the subtle olive-green velvet pom poms, they really are a playful twist that work so well! They have also added some new patterns to the mix too, a gorgeous star print linen and a brushed cotton stripes... both really are beautiful.

It's hard to believe for the size of the company, that nearly everything is produced in-house. Each product is lovingly handmade by the team for your beloved pooch... something I really love.
Another thing that is new for Autumn is their new personalisation service, so you can have your dog's name added to some of their best sellers. The process is simple, just select from some of their bestselling beds, neckerchiefs or homewares. You then choose the colour of thread you would like and let the team know your dog's name [up to seven letters]. Then the team will get to work creating your product on site, once ready it will be with you in the next few days... I just love Alfie's personalised tweed bone.
